- Add 1 tablespoon of butter, oil or margarine and salt to taste.
- Cook on medium heat until the rice is fully cooked.
- Cover with a tight lid and remove the pan from the heat.
- Allow it to rest for 5–10 minutes.
- Drain any excess water and serve.
